Finally, I have returned with a new grilledshane original creation. Sure, I flirted with a sandwich that highlighted an awesome local cheese, but it has been forever since I actually created a new grilledshane original. It was time. It was definitely time. I haven’t truly made …
Last night I received one of the greatest emails that has ever graced my computer. It contained both the final cover image (in full, below) and pre-order details regarding my first grilled cheese cookbook, Melt: 100 Amazing Adventures in Grilled Cheese. Pretty awesome, yes?
To be released on November 18, 2012, just in time for the holiday season, Melt: 100 Amazing Adventures in Grilled Cheese is available for pre-order from Amazon.com (and BarnesAndNoble.com) for approximately $17. Pre-order now to insure that you receive it in time for the gift giving season. Make sure to save your email confirmation from your purchase as I am planning a contest for anyone and everyone who has pre-ordered. Those details will be released very soon.

Thank you, in advance, to everyone who dives in and pre-orders Melt: 100 Amazing Adventures in Grilled Cheese; you won’t be disappointed.

I am sorry, Internets. I am sorry that I bought this delicious cheese, Kokoborrego Cheese Company’s Headwaters Tomme, and made a grilled cheese sandwich weeks ago but am just now writing about it. Life seems to have delayed this post, as well as my laziness, and for …
Below is a guest post courtesy of MissWineOH and part of the Ohio Blogging Association‘s Blog Swap. Please enjoy… When I realized the Shane I’d been swapped with was GrilledShane– I was more than excited to pair some great wines with his innovative grilled cheese creations. We are …
Back on December 12, as I was pulling into work, I received an email with the subject of “Interest in a grilled cheese book?”. At first, I didn’t know what to think. However, once I actually read the email, my mouth hit the floor. A publishing company was seriously interested in me being the author of a grilled cheese cookbook “with attitude” titled MELT. I eventually submitted a proposal and on February 6, I was selected.
Since then, I have been brainstorming, creating, cooking and photographing 95 grilled cheese sandwiches. (80 new recipes, 15 from the blog; 35 recipes will be accompanied by photographs; 5 additional meat grilled cheese recipes are being created by an outside source.) I submitted the manuscript on March 12 and have recently been working on perfecting the photos. The edited manuscript should be returned to me by the end of this week or early next week so I can make the requested changes. From there it will be sent to the design team and then released in bookstores and online in November, 2012. Once I have more concrete release details, such as pre-ordering opportunities, I will make sure to post them here.
I really appreciate that all of you have been very supportive of my grilled cheese hobby. That support has led me to this point and I am forever grateful for all of you. Thank you so much!
Please continue to keep your eyes peeled here, Facebook and Twitter for more information.

Way back in September, 2010, I took a hiatus. I took a break from the grilled cheese world. I needed to recharge my grilled cheese batteries. It definitely helped and I returned better than ever. But here I am taking another hiatus. A different kind …
The time has come. The cat is out of the bag. My secret has been revealed. My [new] boss now knows my true identity: GrilledShane. Not only is she interested but is also extremely impressed. She lent me a panini cookbook and allowed me to …

Thanks and Happy New Year!
I have only created one Thanksgiving grilled cheese sandwich in the three plus years of this blog. I wanted to change that this year. After my 2009 creation, Pumpkin Pie Grilled Cheese, I had a lot to live up to. I had to make this grilled …
