Recently, the sous chef, mr. sous chef and I traveled to the West Side Market, looking for various bargains. Many, many years ago, the family and a shorter version of myself would go. My small size lead me to be scared/intimidated by the the large crowds leading to a freaked out grilledshane. Just picture that for a second…a small, afraid shane. Its funny!
This time, however, I was not scared, just overwhelmed. Outside are many, many produce stands with people selling any mainstream vegetable or fruit that you could think of. If you can’t find something you like there, well then, I have no idea what you like. On the inside are permanent stands selling everything from meat and dessert to popcorn and pasta. I found a fantastic, homemade multigrain bread that I just needed to have. It looked delicious. It would be perfect for a grilled cheese. Continue reading Smoked Cheddar Grilled Cheese
