There is no doubt in my mind that Cabot knows how to promote their cheeses. Not only do they send new, free cheese on a regular basis, which is awesome in of itself, they also send little extras that make their package even more amazing. […]

Last week, Whole Foods had a buy one get one free special on Fresh Mozzarella cheese. The minute I received the email, I knew I couldn’t resist, especially since I was off that day. I mean, who doesn’t love Fresh Mozzarella? It was the perfect […]
Prior to talking about this particular grilled cheese sandwich, which was very delicious, I want to update the GrilledShane world on a few things.
I know I have said it before, but this is especially true now. I am going to give you, my devoted reader, a bigger insight into the behind the scenes world of trying to grow the GrilledShane brand. I have already started doing this on GrilledShane’s Facebook page, but I also hope to do it more right here on the blog. It may be a short post, but hopefully the audience interested in what is going on with the GrilledShane brand will only increase. I am trying to figure out if I can truly turn the GrilledShane brand into something larger and hope you will join me on the journey. My first step was to join Pinterest. Hopefully you will join me there.
Now for the Tillamook Cheddar Grilled Cheese… (more…)

I decided to put it to the test, in a very simple grilled cheese sandwich… (more…)
When The Christian Science Monitor volunteered to send me a copy of Laura Werlin‘s new grilled cheese cookbook, grilled cheese please, in turn for a review, I asked where do I sign. Seemed like a no brainer to me. The last time I wrote a […]
I had hoped to create this mango/watercress/hummus grilled cheese for last Sunday, when my father told me he was not a fan of hummus. I was short on time and forced to come up with a new grilled cheese. The local Whole Foods just started having Sunday brunch, and since I was headed into work at 11, the folks and I decided to go. While there, I was trying to devise a plan for that evening’s grilled cheese but my mind was on getting to work on time. With some more thinking (and time), this is what I came up with. (more…)
I had previously created a Laura Werlin original, Garlic Crusted Sourdough with Cheddar, and it was a huge success, becoming one of my more popular grilled cheese sandwiches. When I recently needed some quick inspiration, I decided to return to a known winner: Laura Werlin’s […]
