GrilledShane’s Mission Statement

If you have been paying attention to my Facebook or Twitter pages, you will know that I am on a mission, that I am working to build GrilledShane into a brand. I am working to build GrilledShane into something more than just a hobby, something more than just a blog I work on occasionally. My book has proven I have something, now I just need to take it to the next level.

Thanks to a friend, I had a place to start: my mission statement. I have always had something like a mission statement, some sort of direction. But now, now, I have a true statement that will drive everything I do. It will drive me in my efforts to grow GrilledShane.

To alter the vision of what a vegetarian grilled cheese can and should be. An ever changing comfort food that is more than two pieces of bread and a slice of cheese.

When I started this blog, it was simply something I was doing on the side to allow me to exercise my creative cooking skills. I had my full-time job and then my blog. I never thought anything different. However, now with the book, and my increased interest in the grilled cheese sandwich, I want to devote more time to the blog and promoting GrilledShane. With this mission statement, I feel as though I am building something real, from the ground up. There will be some changes, including a redesigned blog, but the journey will be great for all. I just hope everyone will be with me on this awesome ride.
