FeelGood World: Changing the world one grilled cheese at a time.

FeelGood World is a program that transforms students into life-long social entrepreneurs and responsible global citizens – a.k.a. “changemakers.” Our mission: End world hunger in our lifetime.
Our process is simple: a grilled cheese sandwich. FeelGood empowers college students to run non-profit Delis on their campuses, specializing in grilled cheese sandwiches. At these FeelGood Delis, students develop the practical, hands-on skills necessary to run a business, launch effective educational campaigns, and initiate substantive dialogue about the root causes of and solutions to poverty, and our responsibilities as global citizens. 100% of the profits the students raise are invested in organizations with a proven track record of sustainably eradicating extreme global poverty and empowering self-reliance.
Since this organization involves colleges and students, I am not sure how I, personally, can get involved, (I will look into donating) but this is definitely a great cause that uses a great sandwich. I wish I heard of this cause when I was at UC, as I could have opened up my very own chapter.
Good luck to FeelGood World, I don’t think anyone is opposed to ending world hunger, especially while selling grilled cheese sandwiches in the process.
Shane,
How wonderful that you found us! And while it would have been great to have crossed paths while you were still at UC, there is a reason for this timing.
As for getting personally involved, donating (we call it an investment in the future well-being of all life) is great. In fact, every $100 invested in FeelGood generates $120 for the end of hunger!
You can also earn Cheese Points, FeelGood’s alternative changemaking currency by completing online challenges. Some take a few seconds, others are more involved. Here are two I would recommend:
– Recruit a Chapter: http://www.feelgoodworld.org/cheeseworld/challenge/recruiter-super-star
– What Does Ending Hunger Mean to You?: http://www.feelgoodworld.org/cheeseworld/challenge/what-does-ending-hunger-mean-you
And know this, you’ve made our hearts smile with this blog!
Thanks Shane,
Kristin
